General Guidelines
Playoff pool entry is 150 (same since 2020) payable thru PAYPAL (preferred) or by mail. As pool administrator, WOODMAN receives 1 FREE entry
for every 20 'paid' entries.
Payment must be received or arrangements made prior to 4:30 pm ET on Saturday, January 11, 2025. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Late entries into the pool will be accepted until 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 14, 2024. In the event of late entry, player will start with a record of
two (2) wins and two (2) losses (for Saturday's games) and forfeit one (1) bullet & one (1) over/under.
Rules of Play
Players pick the point spread winners for all thirteen (13) playoff games up to and including the Super Bowl.
Point spreads are taken from www.mybookie.ag at 6:00 a.m.ET on Fridays prior to the start of that week's games, and posted here to the official pool website www.playoffpoolonline.com. Unused picks count as losses. Ties count as losses.
In addition, each player picks a total of six (6) game totals (over or under) using the over/under line posted to the pool website on Friday.
Over/under picks may be used on any six (6) games of the players choosing up to and including the Super Bowl.
Unused over/under picks count as losses. Ties count as losses.
Lastly, each player uses a total of six (6) BULLETS, which doubles the value of the pick on which it is used. (example, if you pick Chiefs 'with a
BULLET' and Chiefs win and cover, you get credit for 2 wins. Likewise, if Chiefs lose or fail to cover, you receive 2 losses. BULLETS may be used on over/under picks as well as individual game picks on any (6) games of the player's choosing up to and including the Super Bowl. Limit one (1) bullet
per pick. Unused BULLETS count as losses. Ties on bulleted picks count as 2 losses.
Acceptable Methods of Sending Picks
EMAIL to play0ffp00l@aol.com. (this is the preferred method) When emailing, please be clear. Suggest putting each pick on a separate line.
Indicate bullets and over/unders clearly. Try not to use tiny font sizes. (14 pt. or larger works)
Also, please avoid sending picks 'piecemeal' in multiple emails.
It should only require 1 email to submit all of your picks for the week. (not a requirement, it just helps)
PHONE or TEXT: Use this method only if you have to. For obvious reasons, I'm not posting my phone # online.
If you intend to send your picks using this method, email me to request my # and I will give it to you IF I KNOW YOU.
Payouts
WEEKLY:
150 pool points will be awarded each week to the player with the best weekly record based on the following criteria:
Week 1: 9 plays minimum
Week 2: 7 plays minimum
Week 3: 4 plays minimum
Week 4: 3 plays minimum
'Plays' are defined as any combination of individual game picks, bullets and over/unders.
(example: 6 game picks [in week 1] using 2 bullets and 1 over/under = 9 plays total)
Weekly winner will be based on the best winning percentage. (i.e. 7-0 beats 8-1). In event of a tie (same winning percentage), player with most wins prevails. (i.e. 8-0 beats 7-0). In the event of an 'absolute' tie (identical records), weekly pool prize will be divided equally between the winners.
GRAND PRIZE PAYOUTS:
The remaining pool points will be awarded at the end of week 4 as follows:
1st place: 60%
2nd place: 30%
3rd place: 10%
EARLY PICKS ARE ENCOURAGED AND RECOMMENDED. THE DAY OR NIGHT BEFORE IS GREAT!
ALL DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE POOL ADMINISTRATOR.
LATE PICKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
